Abstract

A major effort to develop a renewably-based hydrogen generation/utilization system is described. This system consists of PV-powered electrolysis and compression units and hydrogen-fueled vehicles. Both conventional and high-pressure PEM electrolysis units are included. On the utilization side, both fuel cell and ICE powered vehicles are being developed. Each of these aspects is described in the paper.
