With more than 150,000 hotel rooms, Las Vegas is the ideal living laboratory for the study of hospitality. Graduate students in the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration often use this living laboratory to produce a research paper as part of their degree requirements. Professional papers focus on a practical area within the hospitality industry that was of interest to the student. Many of the papers in this collection focus on the Las Vegas market but there are also several that focus on Macau and Singapore. Topics covered include loyalty programs; marketing; sustainability; meeting and event planning; the lodging and gaming industry in Macau; personnel issues in hotel management and more.
