The health issues facing Southern Nevada are as complex as they are varied. The size and scope of these issues requires multifaceted and collaborative solutions. Recognizing the growing challenges, UNLV built upon its successful programs to create the Division of Health Sciences.

The division — comprised of the schools of Dental Medicine, Nursing, Community Health, and Allied Health — is developing academic, research, and community service programs to meet the health care needs of our constantly growing region.

Guided by a mission that demands UNLV serve its community, the division is using research, education, training, and service to form unique public and private partnerships. These partnerships are helping provide quality health care to the underserved, educating future professionals, and exploring ways to improve the health and well-being our citizens. Taken together, UNLV is helping build a foundation for a healthier and more vibrant Nevada.
