Asian/Pacific Island Nursing JournalCreated to fill the gap between nursing science and behavioral and social sciences, Asian / Pacific Island Nursing Journal (APIN) offers a forum for empirical, theoretical and methodological, educational, and clinical issues related to Asian / Pacific Island (API) ethnic, cultural values and beliefs and biological and physiological phenomena that can affect nursing care and the health of this group. Published quarterly, the scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to: Methods, interventions, instrumentation, clinical practice and educational techniques that are unique to this group. Theoretical foundations that increase understanding of unique response to changes in health and illness. Biopsychosocial, spiritual, and ecological impacts on practice, education, and research. Policy issues as a result of rigorous research outcomes. Asian / Pacific Island Nursing Journal provides a peer-reviewed international forum for the exchange of knowledge in relation to Asian and Pacific Islander health and nursing care. It serves as a voice for nursing and other health care providers for research, education, practice, and policy. The scope would include referred articles on research, theoretical reviews, practice, education, and policy issues on topics related to API health. Nursing in Asia and the Pacific Islands regions is a rapidly growing group of professionals and includes the fastest growing minority group in America. Yet one of the greatest challenges is finding information about these groups in publications which examine their health, disparities, immigration and acculturation challenges, health education needs, policy implications, clinical practice, and responses to varied interventions in acute care and community settings. Asian / Pacific Island Nursing Journal assists researchers, educators, and practitioners in meeting these important challenges. Asian / Pacific Island Nursing Journal: Official Journal of the Asian American / Pacific Islander Nurses Association features research papers, empirical and theoretical articles, discussion pieces, editorials, abstracts of recent dissertations, and conference summaries that relate to API health and clinical care in disciplines, such as: Clinical and Developmental Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Public Health, Education, Genetics, Pharmacology, Infectious Disease, Oncology, Cardiovascular Disease, Pulmonary Function and Disease, Dermatology, Wound Healing, Immunology, Anesthesiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Neonatology, Nephrology, Pathology, Physiology, Nutrition, Pain Management, Sleep Disturbances, Dental, and Mental Health. Articles in this journal are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. This is an Open Access publication that charges an Author Processing Charge (APC). The fee is $200 for members of AAPINA or $300 for non-members. Authors of Editorials and Introductions are charged $200.
