Faculty in the Department of English share their work through their participation in a variety of campus and other literary events, such as The Book and the Globe: Lectures on Teaching World Literature. Many of the department’s lectures and events are hosted by the Black Mountain Institute.

Additionally, the Department of English World Literature Program and the Great Works Academic Certificate Program sponsor speakers from across UNLV and from other institutions.
