Abstract
I will be presenting my working paper on the ‘paradigm of gambling’, including the very basic elements, and minimum chain of events in a phenomenon, that can be defined a gambling game.
Lots of research has been published on the consequences of the gambling, but we actually still lack a solid common understanding on a definition, and a specification for gambling, differentiating from other forms of gaming and entertainment. My work on the basic elements is based on the findings of Erwin Goffman.
Keywords
paradigm of gambling, definition of gambling, a gambling game, elements of gambling, philosophy of gambling, specification for gambling
