Description
This picture shows the view of the Kepler space telescope during its first mission, from 2009-2013. Many of the exoplanets found from the Kepler mission are orbiting a star in this picture. My research with Dr. Jason Steffen in the UNLV Physics and Astronomy department involves studying the evolution of certain exoplanet systems, which can be used to better understand some of the systems that Kepler has found.
