The Sparks of Engineering Innovation

Description

No experiment is ever perfect on the first try. No design is ever without a flaw here or there. As a mechanical engineering PhD student, I must design and build, redesign and rebuild, the test equipment necessary for running my experiments. I spend most of my time in the machine shop, cutting, grinding, assembling, dismantling, and creating a machine that will test a novel knee implant for alleviating arthritic knee joint pain. I revel in the moments where my hands can make my vision a reality.
