Description
A sample of calcium oxide is taken to extreme conditions in the Salamat physics lab. This sample is experiencing the pressures deep within the Earth's mantle while simultaneously being laser heated through the red laser to very high temperatures. The sample is analyzed through the blue laser using spectroscopy and thermal imaging in order to map the changes it undergoes on its journey to the center of the Earth.
