From the perspective of the guest and the host, my research includes: • historical analysis of how a writer’s work is influenced by their lodging, • how a place may inspire latent creativity, creating the writer, • and, most especially, how writers’ place-based work effect world-views, emphasizing, all along, how TOGETHER, the guest and host create rhetoric. My research is important because writers have the power to bridge gaps in time, place, culture and ideology. My research proves that writers are undercover ambassadors, importing and exporting their experiences—experiences that hinge largely on their sense of place—and experiences that inform their writing in ways that effect our world, even creating the world anew each day.
