Abstract

Drones are taking flight, through services in packaging and delivering, reconnaissance, video, film, and public services. It is only a matter of time before drones are fully integrated to enhance the entertainment experience at a certain venue on social gathering. This paper explores the concept and develops an abstract design of a confetti drone for 'dronetainment' - a robotic unmanned aircraft system (UAS) that dispenses particles of debris. Its specifications were identified through a group 6-3-5 method that led to a model being implemented by taking 3 steps of a system design approach. A confetti canister was introduced to test the feasibility of a drone dispensing paper particles. © 2017 IEEE.
