Economic development and diversification is the path to Nevada's future. This conference may not have seemed necessary a few years ago, but now, Nevada is economically distressed. Economic issues are also quality of life issues, because states with weak economies offer fewer opportunities. Nevada stands ready for development, but we need a comprehensive structure to achieve that success.
