Abstract

In this work, a two-phase flow and heat transfer code was developed using the one-dimensional single-pressure six-equation two-phase flow model and the semi-implicit method. The developed code was validated with the Bartolomei's subcooled flow boiling experiment and the numerical results indicated that the developed code has the capability for the simulation of subcooled flow boiling behavior. After that, the accuracy and efficiency performance of six Krylov subspace methods (CGS, BICG, BICGSTAB, GMRES, QMR and TFQMR) were evaluated. The results indicated that these six Krylov subspace methods have the capability for the accurate simulation of subcooled flow boiling behavior, and the TFQMR and CGS have better computational efficiency performance compared to other four Krylov subspace methods. This work could provide the benefit for the further development of nuclear reactor system analysis code.
