Abstract
In modern capotalist societies it is generally recongnized that having a completely unfettered economy is untenable. Scholars and citizens accept that regulation is necessary to promote corporate social responsibility, decrease informatiuon asymmetry between businesses and the public, and enhance business/industry legitimacy. The mechanism by which regulations are put into place is administractive law, which sets up the structure of regulatory agencies make policies and adjudicate cases, and ensures that agency actions are subject to review by the judiciary. The study of administrative law and regulartory processes is therefore essential in order to develop strategies to control the behavior of publicly and privately owned businesses and ensure both the financial and physical safety of consumers, employees, the public, the government, and other victims.
