Abstract

This chapter provides an introduction to the second edition of the International Handbook of Career Guidance. The chapter overviews career guidance as a field and major challenges confronting the fields, including digitization and automation of work. Following from this, the chapter overviews each of the substantive chapters in the Handbook and notes their contributions to the field of career guidance.
