Abstract
Table games managers have, traditionally, been the backbone of the casino workforce; without them, what was for decades the most productive part of the casino, the gaming pits, would not operate. In the summer of 2015, the author conducted a series of oral history interviews with current and former pit bosses, and casino managers. This presentation sums up the findings of this qualitative study, providing a window into how one key group of casino managers view their work and world.
