Abstract

The gaming collections in UNLV's Special Collections and Archives (SCA) comprise one of the world's richest resources for research on all aspects of gambling worldwide. Our collections document the history of games and gambling, the economics of the industry, the social effects of gambling, and the impact of specific casinos around the world. This presentation will highlight some of SCA's unique holdings, including books, oral histories, and manuscript collections, and will provide helpful information about how to access and use materials from the collections.
