Abstract

Salud! Prost! Cheers! Episode 1 kicks off with UNLV Hospitality Assistant Professor in Residence, Dr. Murray Mackenzie introducing you to the basics and essentials of wine and wine tasting. Through this original, interactive workshop, you will become more confident at reading wine lists, wine labels, buying wine, and distinguishing the differences in styles and quality.

As a former Chef, Dr. Mackenzie’s industry and educational expertise have taken him to several continents such as Australasia, Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Over the past 12 years, Dr. Mackenzie has expanded his knowledge and skills into wine and spirit education, through completed WSET and Wine Scholar Guild exams. This has built an impressive portfolio and enabled him to participate as a wine and spirit tasting judge around the world including Hong Kong, China, Mexico, and Chile.
