Description
This is an image of backlight through a boron epoxy gasket surrounded by a Kapton sheath with Tin(IV) Oxide in the center. This has been squeezed between two diamonds which are used to bring the sample in the center up to pressures near the Earth's mantel and core. The image shows 500 micrometers across with 50 micrometers of SnO2 in the center.
