The Department of Music encourages students to participate in small ensembles; these ensembles learn the specialized rehearsal and performance techniques related to playing chamber music, and are exposed to a variety of musical styles and forms. Repertoire ranging from the Baroque period through contemporary music may be studied in the various existing ensembles.
