About the Collection

The United States Department of Energy has for several years studied the potential storage of spent nuclear fuel materials in a facility located below Yucca Mountain, Nye County, Nevada. Many scientists have contributed to a large body of work related to nuclear fuel transport and storage as well as the potential facility's characteristics and design.
