Abstract
In this book's preface, Clark Barrett proclaims, “When done properly, evolutionary psychology is just evolutionary biology applied to the mind” (p. 12). And yet, he continues, “The picture of brain evolution I've attempted to paint here is, I think, quite different from widely held caricatures of modularity and evolutionary psychological views of the mind more generally. I'm [advocating] ‘a designed emergence view’” (p. 315).
