Objective: The purpose of this assignment is to give students the opportunity to gather information, analyze, synthesize, and report on a course-relevant subject in a collaborative manner. After a period of (two to three weeks) coordinated library research and synthesis of information about chosen subject, student or groups will prepare a “poster presentation” of that subject for the class. A major goal is to raise awareness and instigate change regarding a global crisis in key resources such as food, water, and land. The posters will be displayed for a broader and general audience at the end of the semester.
Content: The poster topics will focus on one of the three important aspects of a potential “global crisis” in the following key resources: 1) food, 2) water, or 3) land.
