Description
Northwest Africa 11013 is a meteorite originating from Mars and is a sample of a lava flow that formed 1.3 billion years ago. This rock is part of a martian meteorite group consisting of 22 samples that all originated from a same location at the martian surface. Investigating these rocks help us better understanding how these rocks emplaced on Mars, and more broadly, magmatism and the interior of Mars.
