Abstract
Thought To Thesis is an examination of the individual facets of the theatrical collaborative process and their use to a student playwright in creating, writing, editing, and staging a graduate thesis production. Components taken into consideration are the following: the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program itself, the required laboratory class, and the thesis director; The research was gathered through a series of interviews and observations coupled with relevant writing from established theatre professionals. The body of the thesis is organized into chapters, each discussing a particular aspect of the collaborative process.
