Abstract
The play Sir Isaac's Duel concentrates on Edmond Halley's discovery of the genius of Isaac Newton. Halley attempts to bring Newton's theories out to the public, Newton refuses, and the "duel" begins. Other characters in the play are as follows: Mary Halley, the wife of Edmond; Catherine Barton, Newton's niece; Jonathan Swift, who is in love with Catherine; and Gottfried Leibniz, who engaged with Newton in a priority debate over the invention of Calculus; This is a full-length play with an approximate running time of 95 minutes.
