Abstract

Black Mountain Institute is proud to present the debut performance of the verse drama O, Heart by celebrated poet Claudia Keelan. The dramatic reading by a cast of actors will tell the story of a woman's quest to understand the human heart through her encounters with such diverse characters as Emily Dickinson, Jane Bowles, and the father of modern cardiology, William Harvey. Claudia Keelan's books include Refinery, Utopic, and the forthcoming translations Truth of My Songs: The Poems of the Trobairitz. She is a professor of English and Creative Writing at UNLV and the editor of Interim magazine.
