Abstract

Richard Wiley reads from his novel Commodore Perry's Minstrel Show (2007). The novel is a sword-swinging story set against the historic opening of Japan to the West and is the prequel to Wiley's PEN/Faulkner award-winning novel Soldiers in Hiding.
