Abstract
Part love story, part murder mystery — The Reserve is set on the cusp of WWII and raises questions about class, politics, art, love, and madness. Generally regarded as one of the great novelists of the past 40 years, Banks will will serve as UNLV's Elias Ghanem Chair in Creative Writing from mid-February to mid-March.
